Chris Williams Chris Williams has been working in the therapeutic field since 1990 and currently works as a Constellation Practitioner, Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Coach and Trainer. He is a UKCP registered gestalt psychotherapist and a senior accredited BACP counsellor, with a well-established practice in South London. He has been facilitating Family Constellation workshops at the Awareness Centre in Clapham since 2005. He is currently working on a research project to explore the impact of systemic interventions on drug and alcohol treatment and he recently taught Family Constellation work in Budapest, Hungary. Chris has provided therapy in a wide-range of settings, including primary practice, drug and alcohol agencies, government, EAPs and in the HIV field. He has previously taught counselling and psychotherapy at the Whittington Hospital, the Centre for Personal and Professional Development and Bromley College. He began his working life in the developing world, as a teacher in Sudan, and then as an educational co-ordinator in the Turks and Caicos Islands before a decade of working in the field of homelessness and substance misuse as a practitioner, trainer, supervisor and manager. These rich and challenging work experiences led to a desire to develop his therapeutic skills, and hence on to a journey of self-development. After initial training at the Pellin Institute, Chris took an MSc in gestalt psychotherapy at Metanoia, with further training through the the Maudlsey and Royal Bethlem Hospital, the Hellinger Institute for Britain and the nowhere foundation. |
